Janet married David BARCLAY of Mearns, son of Alexander BARCLAY 6th of Mathers and Catherine WISHART 'of Pittarrow'.1 2 (David BARCLAY of Mearns was born about 1463 and died Before 1497(dvp) 2.)

  Marriage Notes:

"David Barclay of Mathers died before his father (who survived until 1497), and left, by Janet his wife, daughter of Irvine of Drum, a son, Alexander Barclay, who succeeded his grandfather. (Playfair's Baronetage.) David Barclay of Mathers married Janet Irvine, daughter of Irvine of Drum. This is shown by charters of the lands of Falside, etc., in the Mearns.- (Nisbet's Heraldry.)" (page 52, footnote 2)

from Irvines of Drum

"About the year 1480, upon the marriage of his son David to Jonet, daughter of Irvine of Drum, Alexander of Mathers made over to him the old family property in the Mearns, reserving Mathers for his own lifetime. Robert Barclay (Urie III) states: 'This marriage with Drum's daughter is vouched for by several documents in the family, viz., an antient MS. wrote a.d. 1578, entitled Genealogy of the Barons of the Mearns, as also by charters upon the lands of Falside and Slains in the Mearns.' " (page 168)

from A History of the Barclay Family 1 2

Janet next married John CUMMYN of Coulter, son of William CUMYN of Inverallochy and Coulter and Elizabeth MELDRUM.2 (John CUMMYN of Coulter was born about 1463.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Of Alexander's son David there are no records beyond the fact of his marriage with Jonet Irvine of Drum, and that they had one son, Alexander (Mathers VII), who succeeded his grandfather (Mathers VI). Jonet was a daughter of Alexander, sixth Laird of Drum, by his second wife. After David's death she married, in 1480, John Cummyn of Culter."

from History of the Barclay Family

Note:
There is a difficulty with dates here, given that Janet's first husband died before his father, who himself died in 1497.

Janet might just fit as the daughter of the first wife of the 6th Laird of Drum, but not of the second wife. The dates are, however, consistent enough for her to be a daughter of the second wife of the 5th Laird of Drum.
