General Notes: "THOMAS, designed 'in Pittenkeirie,' afterwards had Sauchen in wadset from his uncle from 1668 to 1672; was made an honorary burgess of Aberdeen, 1678; and in 1688, as "Thomas Burnett of Clerkseat," subscribed £20 to the new buildings of King's College (Fasti Aberd., p. 554). He died without issue, and his nephew, Sir Thomas Burnett, was served heir in general to him on 24th March, 1691." |
