(assistant) at Rathven 11th Feb. 1789; trans, to Old Machar 11th Aug. 1791; pres. by George III. before 26th March, trans, and adm. 14th May 1794; died 10th Oct. 1804. He marr. 17th May 1796, Harriet Ann Stuart (marr. (2) 20th Jan. 1824, William Irvine, Towie, and died 5th Sept. 1847, aged 69), and had issue Alexander, born 21st March 1797; Margaret, born 22nd Oct. 1798 (marr. Gordon Forbes, min. of Dyce); Helen, born 3rd April 1800 (marr. Andrew Tawse, min. of Logie-Colstone); William, born 19th April 1801, died on a voyage from China 6th March 1823."
