"William Lunan, educated at King's College, Aberdeen; M.A. (1626); adm. to Cromarty before 2nd Nov. 1638; became servitor to Sir Thomas Urquhart of Cromarty, and on 13th Feb. 1645 the Presb. of Turriff were app. by the General Assembly to proceed with his excommunication; adm. here before 2nd Oct. 1666; still min. 3rd Oct. 1671. He marr. and had issue Alexander, his successor. [G. R. Hornings, 2nd Jan. 1669.]"
