  General Notes:

Scottish Episcopal Clergy state that she is the daughter of William Elphinstone of Ross, and Fasti Ecclesiae have her as the daughter of Sir James. Her son Patrick, however, was alive and functioning in the late 1750s, suggesting that she had been a young wife of Alexander Lunan rather than his contemporary.


Janet married Reverend Mr Alexander LUNAN Minister of Daviot parish, Jacobite 1715, son of Reverend Mr William LUNAN Minister of Daviot parish and Wife UNKNOWN.1 (Reverend Mr Alexander LUNAN Minister of Daviot parish, Jacobite 1715 was born about 1647 2 and died in 1731 3.)

He gifted in 1705 two silver chalices to the parish 'for the use only of Episcopal ministers'; He marr.
