"John Grant of Corriemony, second son of John Grant of Freuchie, who, to distinguish him from his natural brother, John Mor Grant of Culcabock, is designed 'filio juniori' in the charter by King James the Fourth of the lands and barony of Corriemony, dated 8th December 1509. He was infeft in the barony on 25th January 1509, and again on 2d May 1512. In 1527 he obtained a remission for absenting himself from the army at Solway and Wark. He is said to have married a daughter of Strachan of Culloden. He died in 1533, and was succeeded by his son. John Grant of Corriemony"
