"He married Agnes, daughter of Sir Alexander Murray of Blackbarony, to whom he gave sasine in liferent of the lands of Lynhous, Blaiklandis, Lendovy and Skevoucht, with tower and manor place, as also of his lands of Nether Alderston, and half of the Inches of Bathgate. The marriage contract is dated at Darnhall, 24th September 1664, the said Agnes being then promised spouse of Mr John Muirheid of Lynhous."
