Another name for Francis was KENEDY, Francis. General Notes: In 1881 'Mary Rork' was recorded by the census for Bothwell parish living at Bellerophon Row with her husband and four children. Two boarders also lived with the family, one of them, John Ward, had been born in Shotts parish, as had Mary, and may have been a relative, although the census does not record this. The second boarder was Francis Kenedy [sic], born in County Tyrone. Francis married Mary WARD, daughter of Henry WARD and Alice McGURK, on 13 November 1885 in Cadzow RC Chapel, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Mary WARD was born in 1851 in Cleland, Shotts parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland and died 5 February 1930 at 2.30 pm in 57 Longmuir, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland 2.). The cause of her death was sub acute bronchitis over 6 days and senile decay. Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was Emile de Bacher RC clergyman. The witnesses were Peter Kelly and Jane Powers, who made her X mark. |
