In 1881 the census for Lanarkshire recorded the household of Patrick Price [sic] living at 4 Front Row in the parish of Old Monkland. In the household were Patrick and his wife, their four children, and Patrick's father in law. Patrick was aged 31 years and worked as a coal miner. He had been born in Barony parish Glasgow.

Patrick was a coal miner according to the marriage certificate of his daughter Catherine in 1903.

In 1948 Patrick was recorded in his daughter Catherine's death certificate as a coal miner. He was deceased by then. ^{2 3 4}

Patrick married Mary Ann FYFE, daughter of John FIFE and Unknown, on 15 July 1872 in Old Monkland Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Mary Ann FYFE was born in 1852 in Glasgow, Scotland ³ and died after 28 September 1948.)
