William married Christian STRACHAN, daughter of Sir Patrick STRACHAN 9th of Glenkindie, Merchant in Aberdeen and Elizabeth ALLGOOD, on 13 April 1740.1 (Christian STRACHAN was born about 1725 4 and died in 1790 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

"William Oakley, Rector of Forton, Staffordshire, and Vicar of Holy Cross, Shrewsbury, married Christian Strachan, the elder of Sir Patrick's daughters, on 13th April, 1740. She died 1790. He survived till October 1803."
