In the Church Baptism record (see above) transcribed and made available by the Irish Family History Foundation, Ed Conaghey's baptism took place in the Roman Catholic parish of Shankill, in County Armagh. The address for the baby was noted as 'Lurgan'. There were two baptismal sponsors for the child. The first was Roddy McGaghely, and the second was Mary McLindon.
In 1891 census, Edward was a boarder with Henry ( Mc)Connachie's household at Spoutscroft, Cleland. He was a quarry labourer. He was unmarried.
In 1901, Edward McConnochie was recorded as 47 years old by the census of that year. He was living as a boarder with his brother, Harry, and Harry's family, at Shotts Road, Greenhill, near Cleland. An unmarried man, he worked as a labourer, and had been born in Ireland.
Edward died in 1910 and his age, then, was recorded as 50 years. He remained single. He had worked as a general labourer. 1 2 3

Dr John Lithgow certified the cause of death.
Edward's brother, Henry, whose usual residence was Parkside, Cleland, notified the registrar at Cleland, Robert M. Brown, on 20 December 1910. On the certificate the registrar first wrote that Henry was present where his brother died, then later crossed this out. 3
