   Cause of her death was bronchitis over 3 years.

   Other names for Susan were QUIGLEY, Susan and QUIGLEY, Susannah.2

  General Notes:

Susan Quigly was confirmed by the Rev Dr Andrew Scott at St Mirin's Paisley on 10 October 1830.

In the 1841 census for High Church, Paisley, six young women, three of whom were Quigleys, Majey, Catherine and Susannah, were living in Underwood Street. The others were Margaret Harkin, Catherine McInulty and Margaret Forester. Only the latter was born in Scotland. Susannah was 26 years old and had been born in Ireland. She worked as a cotton piecer.

Susan died in 1869. Her death certificate recorded that she was a single woman who had worked as a sewer. Her age at death was noted as 62 years. No name was provided for her mother, only a father's name was noted with the additional information that he was deceased. 3

  Research Notes:

She may be the Susan who married James Donnochy in 1834 in Paisley.

  Medical Notes:

J. Cochrane, surgeon, certified the cause of death.

William McKiny, Governor of the Poorhouse, gave notice of Susan's death before the registrar at Paisley on 25 May 1869.
