   Another name for Margaret was CROW, Agnes.

  General Notes:

In the 1851 census for Carnbroe Ironworks in Lanarkshire, William and Agnes Crow were recorded with their two sons, John, aged 3 years, and David, aged 1 year. Their address was 7 School Row. Agnes was recorded as 21 years of age and born in Whitburn, Linlithgowshire - now West Lothian.

It is possible she was Agnes, daughter of David Brown and Agnes Robertson, baptised 6 February 1825 at Bathgate, West Lothian. In the 1861 census her name was recorded as Margaret, as also in her marriage notice, and in her husband's death certificate, so presumably whatever name she was given, Margaret was what she wished to be called.

Margaret married William CROW, son of John CROW and Mary BOYLE, on 4 December 1846 in Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (William CROW was born on 1 November 1826 in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland and died on 4 August 1870 in New Carnbroe, Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland.)
