Ellen married John FEELY, son of John FEELY and Helen CAMPBELL, on 9 November 1888 in RC Chapel, Wishaw, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (John FEELY was born about 1856 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland 1 3.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was solemnised after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was John Cann McCoy. The witnesses were Thomas Bennet, who made his X mark, and Sarah Bennet.

John Felly, who made his X mark, was a 33 year old unmarried man who worked as a chimney sweep. He lived at 8 Livingstone's Land, Wishaw. His father was deceased.

Ellen Cummings, who made her X mark, worked as a domestic servant, a housekeeper. She was a widow aged 38 years, and was of the same address as the bridegroom. Her mother was deceased.

The marriage was registered at Wishaw on 12 November 1888, Thomas Steele being the signing registrar. 1
