   Another name for Isobel was STEVEN, Isabella.

  General Notes:

In the 1841 census for Galston there was recorded an old lady living near Montgomerie Steven senior and his family. She was Isabella Steven aged 70 years, a pirn winder. Some other younger Stevens were noted around her. She may be the second wife of George Steven and therefore the step mother of Montgomerie Steven. She was born in Ayrshire. ²

Isobel married George STEVENS. (George STEVENS was born about 1765.)
