In the 1841 census for High Church, Paisley, six young women, three of whom were Quigleys, Majey, Catherine and Susannah, were living in Underwood Street. The others were Margaret Harkin, Catherine McInulty and Margaret Forester. Only the latter was born in Scotland. Catherine was in the 20-25 years age range and had been born in Ireland. She worked as a cotton piecer.
