The 1860 census for Troy in Orleans county, Vermont State, recorded George B. Cutler, a physician aged 35 years, his wife Lucelia aged 32, and their two children George B. aged 4 years and Elizabeth aged 1 month. All were recorded as having been born in Vermont.

George B. Cutler was the head of a household recorded by the 1910 US Federal Census living at Rockwood in Multnomah County, Oregon. There were three people in the household, George, his wife Jean, and Jean's father James Quigley. George was 52 years old and had been born in Vermont, as had both of his parents. He and his wife had been married for three years. He was a farmer who worked on his own account and held a mortgage on his farm.

In 1920 George and his wife Jean were living together still in Rockwood Road in Precinct 306, Multnomah. George was recorded as 64 years old and his wife as 54 years of age. He was a general farmer who owned his home. ^{2 5}
