Margaret married James CALDWELLS, son of Robert COLDWALLS and Helen CUNNINGHAM, on 27 April 1855 in Setonhill, Gladsmuir, East Lothian, Scotland.1 2 (James CALDWELLS was born on 6 June 1832 in Prestonpans, East Lothian, Scotland 2 and died after 31 December 1886.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage between James Coldwalls and Margreat Cairns was solemnized after banns according to the rites and ceremonies of the Established Church of Scotland. The minister of Tranent, William Caesar, officiated. Thomas Downie and Marion Cairns were witnesses.

James Coldwalls was presently and usually resident at Harelaw. He was aged 23 years and was a bachelor. He worked as a labourer. He had been born on 6 June 1832 at Prestonpans*. His father was deceased.

Margreat Cairns presently and usually lived at Setonhill. She was 22 years of age and was a spinster. She worked as a labourer too. She had been born and registered on 26 October 1833 at Tranent.

The marriage was registered on 28 April 1855 at Gladsmuir, James Turnbull being the signing registrar.
