Alexander next married Christian DOUGLAS, daughter of Archibald DOUGLAS 2nd of Glenbervie and Agnes KEITH, 23 May 1555(contract).2 (Christian DOUGLAS was born about 1534 and died about 1568 2.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Christian (Douglas), who married Alexander Irvine, younger of Beltie. In their marriagecontract, which is dated at Banchory Ternan, 23d May 1555, Archibald Douglas of Glenbervie, and Robert Irvine of Beltie, agree that Alexander Irvine, grandson and apparent heir of Robert, or failing him his brother, Robert Irvine, junior, should marry Christian, or failing her, Jane Douglas, with a tocher of seven hundred merks. Christian Irvine died about 1568."
