Eizabeth married John LESLIE 5th of that Ilk, son of Alexander LESLIE of Pitnamoon, and 4th of that Ilk, jure uxoris and Christina LESLIE, by 28 July 1543.¹ (John LESLIE 5th of that Ilk was born about 1520.)

  Marriage Notes:

"John, abbot of Lindores, with the consent of the monks, granted a lease for nineteen years of the teind-sheaves of the Mains of Leslie, Auld Leslie, and Curtastoun, to John Leslie of that Ilk, and Elizabeth Dempster his spouse, for the sum of £30 Scots, and a yearly rent of forty-two merks - to wit, nine merks for the teind-sheaves of the Mains of Leslie, thirteen merks for the teindsheaves of Auld Leslie, and twenty merks for the teind-sheaves of Curtaston, payable yearly at the
feast of St. Lawrence the martyr, or at the feast of St. Bartholomew, 10th October 1546."

"John Leslie, fifth Baron of that Ilk, married Elizabeth Dempster, daughter of Dempster of Muiresk. John Leslie of that Ilk, and Elizabeth Dempster his spouse, got a charter of the barony of Leslie from Queen Mary, 28th July 1543."
