He marr. 16th June 1831, Mary (died 7th Aug.1847), daugh. of John Gordon, min. of Cabrach, and had issue Mary Ann, born 30th May 1832 ; Elizabeth, born 23rd April 1833 ; Jane Gordon, born 12th Dec. 1834 ; Margaret, born 3rd April 1836 (marr. 29th Sept. 1857, John Peter, factor to Lord Lovat); Isabella, born 24th May 1838, died 12th June 1841 ; Thomas, min. of Kennethmont, born 17th May 1841.
