General Notes: Sir William was one of the officers in command of the first Scots lot of 1000 men that went to the Crusades. He died before Tunis while on the way to Palestine, leaving his lands to his brother Adam who did not long survive him, and was succeeded by his son Adam, the husband of Alicia.
