"He (Alexander Lyon) married, during the lifetime of his father, Agnes, the daughter of William, Lord Crichton, Chancellor of Scotland. The bond for the lady's tocher of 900 merks is dated 17 February 1449-50. On the same date he and his spouse
received a charter of the lands of Auchtermunny, in the sheriffdom of Stirling, and of Banchory and Petedy, in the constabulary of Kinghorne. There were no children of
the marriage, and on his death his widow married, after 20 October 1487, Walter Ker of Cessford"
