Ann married James HOME, son of Peter HOME in Mains of Tilliangus, DNA Linked and Christian STRACHEN (DNA Linked), on 21 December 1861 in Mains of Tullyangus, Clatt, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 (James HOME was baptised on 20 June 1813 in Clatt parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and died 20 December 1880 at 6.00 am in Mains of Drumrossie, Insch, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 1 2 4.). The cause of his death was pneumonia over 7 days.


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. James Walker, minister at Clatt, conducted the service. John Anderson and John Lipp were the witnesses.

James Home was a farm servant residing at Glenlogie in the parish of Chapel of Garioch, Aberdeenshire. He was 48 years of age and unmarried. His parents were deceased.

Ann Murray was a domestic servant of Convel Street, Dufftown. She was single and aged 28 years. Only her mother's name was entered.

The marriage was registered on 21 December 1861 at Clatt, John Minto being the registrar. 1
