  General Notes:

In 1851 both Peter Home and Margaret Forbes, later his wife, were recorded working at Boggieshalloch in the parish of Tullynessle and Forbes. Peter was an agricultural labourer, born in Clatt, and aged 33 years; Margaret was 18 years old, born in Alford and worked as a servant.

In the parish of Tullynessle and Forbes, Aberdeenshire, Peter Holme [sic] was recorded by the 1861 census as head of a small household living at Manse Cottage. In the household lived Peter, his wife Margret Holme, and their two children. Margret was born in Alford parish and was recorded as 28 years of age.

When Margaret Home died in 1900, her death certificate recorded her as 'widow of Peter Home farm servant'. Her age recorded at death was 66 years. Her parents were deceased. ²

William Home, of 95 Burnside Street, Glasgow, the son of Margaret Home, gave notice of his mother's death before the registrar at Tullynessle on 30 January 1900.

Margaret married Peter HOME, son of Alexander HOME and Margaret HARDIE, on 21 November 1852 in Clatt parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. (Peter HOME was baptised on 8 June 1813 in Clatt parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland ¹ and died 21 May 1881 at 4.00 am in Manse Cottage, Tullynessle & Forbes, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was chronic bronchitis.
