Nicholas married Maria co-heiress of Muschamp, daughter of Malise (II) 5th Earl of Strathearn and Marjory DE MUSCHAMP co-heiress of Muschamp, before 1269.1 2 (Maria co-heiress of Muschamp was born about 1248 1 and died between 1314 and 1318 2.)


  Marriage Notes:

"He (Sir Nicholas) married, before 1269, Maria, younger daughter of Malise, Earl of Strathearn, by his wife Marjory de Muschamp, co-heiress of the barony of Muschamp (including Wooler, Belford, and Lowick) in Northumberland. By the death of her sister Muriel, Countess of Mar, in 1291 s.p. she became vested in the whole of her mother's moiety of the barony. On 14 June 1306, as widow of Sir Nicholas, she did homage to King Edward upon his restoration of her seisin of the half-barony of Muschamp, and she died between 1314 and 1318."

"Maria, born about 1248, as she was six years old in March 1254-55, coheiress with her sister Muriel; married, before 1269, to Nicholas, afterwards Sir Nicholas Graham of Dalkeith and Abercorn. He died soon after 1303, and she survived him till between 1314 and 1318. In 1291 she became heir of her sister Muriel."
