  General Notes:

MacFarlane Genealogy website and others date Sir Robert de Keith's death as 1346 at the Battle of Neville's Cross, with a possible alternative of 1344. Yet he was succeeded by the son of his son John, his grandson, also named Robert de Keith, who, MacFarlane says died 'Bef 1345".

Other secondary sources state that it was this grandson who died at the Battle of Neville's Cross in 1346. 1

Robert married Barbara DOUGLAS, daughter of Sir William DOUGLAS 'Le Hardi', Lord of Douglas and Elizabeth STEWART. (Barbara DOUGLAS was born about 1283.)
