Note: This quotation has been included here indicating a marriage between Margaret Hepburn and John Muirhead, but the parentage of Margaret Hepburn, as outlined in it, has been omitted on this site.
Patrick 1st Earl of Bothwell was the grandson of Patrick Lord Hepburn of Hailes, his father being the latter's son Adam who predeceased his father.
There appear to have bee many relatives named Margaret but none seen by this researcher can be said to have conclusively married John Muirhead. 1
