"The Earl's wife was Isabel Stewart, daughter of King Robert II.....She survived the Earl, and married, secondly, before 1390, Sir John Edmonstone, ancestor of the Edmonstones of Duntreath. She died about 1410. By her the Earl had, according to Godscroft, one son, but he died in infancy, and his name has not been recorded."
