  Research Notes:

MacFarlane and Stirnet genealogy databases have the James Gordon who married Margaret Ogilvy as the son of the James Gordon who married Margaret Stuart and therefore the numbering is different.

James married Margaret STUART, daughter of Patrick STEWART Laird of Laithers and Unknown.1 (Margaret STUART was born about 1492 and died between 1541 and 1546.)

James next married Margaret OGILVY Lady of Gartlie, daughter of Alexander OGILVY of that Ilk and Findlater and Janet ABERNETHY, on 2 January 1546.1 (Margaret OGILVY Lady of Gartlie was born about 1517.)
