  General Notes:

ClanMacfarlane website provides a useful note:

"2 - It is at this stage that the numbering of the lairds of Inverugie goes haywire. For Gilbert to be 3rd of Inverugie Andrew or Patrick must have dvp and yet both of their sources show them as being "of Inverugie" meaning they inherited. Clan Keith source shows no Andrew and Stirnet shows no Patrick."

This suggests that Patrick may have been awarded the title 'of Inverugie' as a courtesy rather than a fact, and that he died before his father's death. The dates suggest the scenarion offered here to account for the variety of discrepancies in this familial configuration. 2

Patrick married Elizabeth OGILVIE, daughter of Sir Walter OGILVIE of Lintrathen and Isobel GLEN. (Elizabeth OGILVIE was born about 1403.)

  Marriage Notes:

Sir Patrick keith married Janet Graham of Kincardine, as his first wife. Elizabeth Ogilvie was his second wife. Janet died without children. 1
