"It., Jean Douglass, lyverentrix of Glenbucket, Is the third of her deceist husbands pole, which is 4 pounds, and G: pole 6s. inde both is 4 pounds 6 0"

At the end of the list of the children of Adam Gordon and Jeane Douglas follows the statement:
" All these fyve Children unprovyded."

Gordons Under Arms refers to Jean as "Jean Douglas, of the Glenbervie family" in the entry regarding her son Adam Gordon. 2 3

Jean married Sir Adam GORDON Laird of Glenbuicket, son of Patrick GORDON of Glenbuchat and Jane ARBUTHNOT of Leyes Couts, on 27 November 1674 in Banchory Ternan Parish, Kincardineshire, Scotland. (Sir Adam GORDON Laird of Glenbuicket was born about 1652 and died in 1693 3.)
