  Marriage Notes:

The IGI also reproduces the record under the same names but for 15 September 1633 in the parish of Fetteresso Kincardineshire, part of the proclamation of banns. 2

Jane next married Patrick GORDON of Glenbuchat, son of Sir Adam GORDON of Park and Helen TYRIE, in 1651.3 (Patrick GORDON of Glenbuchat was born about 1618 in Scotland and died in 1662 in Aberdeen, Scotland.)

  Marriage Notes:

This marriage, not yet been found in the established church parish records, took place just after Cromwell had taken power and while he was subduing Scotland. Since Patrick of Glenbucket was a supporter of the Stewart cause, it can be assumed that he was seriously affected, even endangered by this course of events, King Charles 1 having been executed in the very recent past. It may be that the marriage was a Roman Catholic one.

No baptisms but these have been found so far, in a Morayshire parish where Patrick Gordon may have been living undercover.

In 1654, "Glenbuchat" as we now know it, was included in an area called "Strathdon". 5 6

Jane next married Sir William DOUGLAS 2nd Baronet of Glenbervie, son of Sir William DOUGLAS 1st Baronet of Glenbervie and Janet IRVINE, after 1662. (Sir William DOUGLAS 2nd Baronet of Glenbervie was born about 1620 and died before January 1688 3.)
