Catherine married Matthew LINDSAY, son of Matthew LINDSAY and Catherine CORNFIELD, on 31 December 1896 in St Joseph's RC Chapel, Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Matthew LINDSAY was born on 26 September 1876 in Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland and died in Wigan, Lancashire, England.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. Father Thomas Hackett was the celebrant. James Lindsay and Mary Murray were the witnesses.

Matthew Lindsay was a single man, aged 20 years. He worked as a coal miner and lived at 54 Baird's Rows, Blantyre. His father was deceased.

Catherine Murray was 18 years old and unmarried. She worked as a dressmaker and lived at Front Row, Blantyre Works.

The marriage was registered on 5 February 1896, George Harris being the registrar.
