The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. James Walker, minister at Clatt, conducted the service. John Anderson and John Lipp were the witnesses.

James Home was a farm servant residing at Glenlogie in the parish of Chapel of Garioch, Aberdeenshire. He was 48 years of age and unmarried. His parents were deceased.

Ann Murray was a domestic servant of Convel Street, Dufftown. She was single and aged 28 years. Only her mother's name was entered.
