She evidently had provision by a bond over Monaughty, and during her married life occupied the house, and so he would have been styled 'in Monaughty'. A deed of exoneration dated at Brodie on October 19, 1683, and recorded in the Elgin Commissary Records on November 3, 1683, contains the following statement: |
