Catherine Tweedlie was recorded as 33 years of age by the 1881 census for West Greenock. Her birthplace was noted as Rothesay on the Isle of Bute.

Catherine Gillies Tweedlie died in 1911. Her death certificate recorded her as the widow of James Tweedlie, a foreman coppersmith. Her age was recorded as 64 years. Both of her parents were already deceased. ⁴

Isabella Brodie Tweedlie, daughter of the deceased who was present where the death occurred, gave notice of her mother's death before the registrar, Gregor Grant, at Coatbridge on 15th March 1911. ⁶

Catherine married James TWEEDLIE, son of Robert TWEEDLIE and Isabella LAMONT, on 30 Dec 1870 in Middle/New Parish, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.¹ (James TWEEDLIE was born about 1848 in Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland ⁴ and died 9 February 1901 at 6.30 am in 6c School Street, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland ^{4 5}.). The cause of his death was Loup nephritis over 2 weeks and uraemia and coma over 2 days.⁶

Catherine next married Margaret MOORE, daughter of Matthew MOORE and Ann GEORGE, on 3 Nov 1749 in Inveresk With Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^{2 3} (Margaret MOORE was born 1 June 1855 at 5.30 am in Prestwick, Ayrshire, Scotland ¹.)
