Francis Quigley was a bachelor of 30 years living at 2 South Stirling Street. He was a boilermaker labourer. Both his parents were deceased at the time of his marriage. He made his X mark in the register.

Catharin Gordon was a cotton factory worker aged 26 years, living at the same address as Francis. She too had not been married before, and both of her parents were dead too. ³
