VALLELY, James 1
General Notes: James was a witness at the marriage of, what the IGI records as, Edward Fannan and Catherine McConnell on 12 February 1855 in St Margaret's RC Chapel Airdrie. The other witness was Jane McCartan or Carter. The priest was Fr Duncan McNab. An alternative spelling for the names of the married couple may be Edward Fanan and Catherine McConvill, which is what it looks like in the original, illegible, register. The marriage certificate issued by the GRO is Edward Fauning and Catherine McConill. 1 Research Notes: Valleys have been recorded in Tullyniskan parish, where Catherine McConvil/Fanning said she was born. James married John VALLELY, son of Francis VALLELLY and Catherine HARDY, on 12 Jul 1861 in Belhelvie Parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. (John VALLELY was born on 3 Jun 1844 in St Quivox Parish, Ayrshire, Scotland 2 3 and was christened on 30 Jun 1844 in Our Lady and St Ninian RC Parish, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, Scotland.) |
