The banns etc were called in accordance with the forms of the Scottish Episcopal Church. The officiating minister was Edward James Jones. The witnesses were George Gilday and Letitia Gilday.

Arthur was a bachelor of 21 years of age, of Poker Row, Dundyvan, Coatbridge. He was a forge labourer. Isabella's address was recorded as 20 Buchanan Street Coatbridge. She was aged 20 years.

The marriage was registered at Old Monkland on 10 October 1865, James Burdon being the registrar. ¹
