"George Forbes of Bellabeg, th 3rd son of William Forbes, 5th Laird of Newe, was born 1668. He married in 1701, Isobel Forbes of Asloun, by whom he had, besides several children who died young, three sons and two daughters :- John, his heir; George, wine merchant in London, and William, baker in Banff; Isobel married Nathaniel Forbes of Ledmacoy; and Jean, married (1) Mr. Thomas Anderson in Drummaline and (2) Mr. James Lindsay in Banff."
