Other names for Ann were VALLELY, Anne,2 VALLOLY, Ann and VALLY, Ann. General Notes: Ann was a witness at the wedding of Hugh Grant and Mary Callaghan on 12 June 1845 at St Margaret's RC Chapel in Airdrie. The other witness was James Callaghan, and Fr Alex Smith celebrated the sacrament. Ann married.1 Marriage Notes: "He (James Sandilands) married, first, Elizabeth, daughter of Robert Betoun of Creich (contract 21 May 1561) ; secondly, Isabel, daughter of John Strang of Balcaskie (contract 9 September 1569). The marriage took place, or was appointed to take place, 25 December 1569. She survived him and married, secondly, Ninian Bonar of Keltie." Ann next married John SMITH on 9 Jun 1851 in St Margaret's RC Chapel, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 (John SMITH was born about 1825.) Marriage Notes: Fr J. Buckley was the priest who married John and Anne. The witnesses were James McConvell and Mary Hardy. |
