QUIGLEY, John ¹

  General Notes:

Patrick Quigley was the informant of his son, John's birth before the registrar at Anderston, Glasgow on 27 November 1879.

John was the younger of the two children living at 6 Braid Street Glasgow with his family when the 1881 census was taken. Glasgow was where he had been born and his age was recorded as 1 year.

John Quigley was not recorded in his parents' home in the family entry of the 1891 census. ^{1 2}

John married Catherine QUIGLEY, daughter of John QUIGLEY and Margaret McGARVEY.³ (Catherine QUIGLEY was christened on 10 Apr 1857 in Long Tower RC Parish, County Derry, Ireland ⁴.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Catherine Margaret (Keith), baptized at Keith Hall 29 June 1690, and died at Edinburgh 1 March 1762 ; married (contract 27 November 1703) to David, fifth Lord Falconer, whose descendants inherited the title"
