The 1851 census recorded John and Letitia Quigley at Campsie parish. John was aged 33 years, Letitia 50 years, young John 10 years, and Francis 7 years.

When John died in 1874 his recorded age at death was 33 years. His death certificate recorded him as a calico engineer and widower of Janet Morrison. ^{4 6}

John Quigley, father of the deceased who was present where the death occurred, gave notice of his son's death before William Taylor, registrar, at Campsie on 12 May 1874. ⁴
