Agnes was the second child of this name in this family.

The 1841 census recorded Agness Quigley living in Back Street Kilmarnock with her mother, stepfather, and her four full siblings and two half siblings. Her age was recorded as 9 years and she had been born in Ayrshire.

The 1851 census for Kilmarnock parish recorded an Agnes Quigly who was a visitor at the home of Daniel Michan, aged 55 years, a labourer born in Ireland, and his son and daughter, Daniel, 18 years, also a labourer, and Catherine, 16 years, the housekeeper, who were both born in Kilmarnock parish. Their dwelling was at Braeside Society?(unclear) Land. Agnes was aged 19 years and was a mill worker. She was born in Kilmarnock parish. 10
