"ALEXANDER ALEXANDER of Mugiemoss (in which he succeeded his brother William in 1708), born about 1644, son of Alexander A., bailie of Aberdeen; educated at Marischal College Aberdeen; M.A. (1664); afterwards regent there; licen. by Alexander, Bishop of Edinburgh, 22nd July 1675; ord. before 8th April 1679; deprived by Act of Parliament restoring the Presbyterian mins. 25th April 1690. He returned in 1693; having been pursued for intrusion, he produced an Act of the Privy Council giving him the protection of the Government, and
allowing him to continue in the parish; died in 1713. He marr. Margaret Collison, and had issue Alexander of Auchmill, and five daughs."
