James Collins, Black Furnace filler, father of Daniel, was the informant of his birth at Wishaw in 1894 and made his X mark. Daniel's mother was recorded as Rose Ann Collins M.S. Rose King, and the parents' marriage was noted as 1866 December Kilbirnie. 2


Daniel married on 24 Feb 1557.1

"His (George Ogilvy's) wife was Beatrix, fourth daughter of George, then Lord Seton, the contract of marriage being dated 24 February 1556-57."
