Mary next married Peter QUIGLEY, son of John QUIGLEY and Rose KEENAN, on 15 Jul 1875 in St Joseph's RC parish, North Woodside, Glasgow, Scotland.2 (Peter QUIGLEY was born about 1835 in County Monaghan, Ireland 4 6 and died 28 April 1884 at 1.30 pm in 11 Balmore Street, Possilpark, Glasgow, Scotland 3 4.). The cause of his death was bronchitis followed by pulmonary apoplexy.


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. James Fanning RCC was the celebrant. Thomas Quigley and Catherine Mearns, who made her X mark, witnessed the marriage.

Peter Quigley, a journeyman house painter and a widower, was resident at 18 North Woodside Road. His age was recorded as 40 years. His father was deceased.

Mary Ann Mearns was a domestic cook and a spinster. Her age was recorded as 30 years and she too lived at 18 North Woodside Road Glasgow. Both of her parents were deceased.

The marriage was registered on 20 July 1875 at Glasgow, Alexander Dewar being the signing registrar. 4
