General Notes: William was deceased in 1899 when his daughter Margaret died. William married Ellen VASS on 13 May 1827 in Barony, Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Ellen VASS was born about 1800 and died before 12 Feb 1899.) William next married Ellen VASS in England.2 (Ellen VASS was born about 1800 and died before 12 Feb 1899.) Marriage Notes: "James I., third but only surviving son of Robert III., was born at Dunfermline in December 1394. He was captured at sea by the English on 4 April 1406 on his way to France, and was retained a prisoner till 28 March 1424. Shortly before his release he married Joan, daughter of John Beaufort, first Earl of Somerset. He was crowned at Scone 21 May 1424, and reigned till 21 February 1436-7, when he was assassinated at Perth through the agency of his uncle Walter Stewart, Earl of Atholl." William next married Ellen VASS on 13 May 1827 in Barony, Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Ellen VASS was born 1809 or earlier and died 1899 or earlier.) |
