Thomas Vallely was recorded by the 1901 census as 18 years old and as being born in Newmains. He was a furnaceman by occupation.

In 1963 when Thomas Vallely died he ws a single man of 81 years of age. Both of his parents were deceased. Oddly, but perhaps not surprisingly, his father Francis was recorded as a farmer deceased.

Thomas married John QUIGLEY, son of James QUIGLEY and Margaret GILROY. (John QUIGLEY was born on 1 Jul 1874 in Milton, Glasgow, Scotland ³.)
